I don’t usually reference other college consultants, but Michelle Hernandez has a really nice chart that provides a digest of different admissions policies.
Keep in mind that this list of schools isn’t exhaustive, and other decision plans might exist. Brown University, until rather recently, offered a rather unusual Early plan that could have been termed, “Single-Choice Early Decision”: Students could apply ED to Brown, but they were disallowed from applying EA anywhere – even to schools with flexible EA plans, such as Chicago.
Brown has since tweaked their plan (students are now merely prohibited from applying SCEA to other schools), but it’s good to keep their quirky policy in mind. Make sure you read the fine print on the school’s application page!
