Noa Silver graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a BA in English and American Language and Literature. After graduation, she received her certification as a Teacher of English as Foreign Language (TEFL) and traveled to the Marshall Islands through WorldTeach. As the sole English language teacher for all K-8 students on the Namdrik Atoll, a community of approximately 175 students, she was responsible for the development and implementation of the entire English language curriculum.
Upon returning to the U.S., she studied Urban Education at Mills College in Oakland, CA, and worked as a student teacher in a sixth grade Humanities classroom. She completed coursework in curriculum development, adolescent development, and teaching English
Language Learners. During this time she also passed the CBEST and English CSET. Noa is currently a graduate student of Creative Writing in San Francisco State’s MFA program.
